The Brooks were brought together by their mutual love and appreciation for authentic, vintage Funk & Soul music. Recorded in Montreal, during several late night studio jam sessions, The Brooks strives to bring back the old school with an infusion of fresh influences to keep your body movin’! From the limited edition “Pain and Bliss” Vinyl with original cover art by renown Nigerian artist Lemi Ghariokwu (Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, etc).

Originally conceived during a string of studio jam sessions by producers Arthur Baker and Lati Kronlund, the all-star group of musicians, singers, DJs and poets hailing from different parts of the globe, soon became regulars of New York’s vibrant club scene, famously mixing their funk with jazz, hip-hop, latin, soul and dub – all rolled into one ferocious funk fest.

Taken from this forthcoming album “I’m Here Now“. Showcasing the punchier, harder edge contained within his new material, “Bad Ass Self” takes no prisoners from the outset. A neck-snapping groove combined with a killer vocal from New York rapper Kennzo.

Free Nationals is a musical collective from Brooklyn, New York, consisting of Pomo, Kelsey González, and Jose Rios. They are known for their genre-blending sound, incorporating elements of soul, jazz, and hip-hop. The track “Gidget” was first premiered live at Sasquatch! in May 2018.

Free – Sault
An artist known for his unique sound, which blends elements of R&B, soul, and hip-hop. The track “Free” was released on September 18, 2020, as the ninth track on his album “Untitled”.
