Unqualified – Ikebe Shakedown
Ikebe Shakedown plays with elements of cinematic soul, Afro-funk, deep disco, and boogaloo in all the right ways. The group has forged its unique sound together over four years, developing a mighty horn section anchored by tight, deep-pocketed grooves. “Unqualified” is from 2020.

Geronimo – Gianni Oddi
Gianni Oddi is an Italian saxophonist. In 1972 he joined the Big Band of Maestro Enrico Simonetti. “Geronimo” is a superb example of italian 70s Jazz Funk infused with a characteristic Progressive flavour, which was a trending genre at that time.

Who Knows – Beau Dollar
Beau Dollar & The Dapps were formed in Cincinnati in 1965, where they often played the famous Living Room nightclub. The band consisted of Bowman, Eddie Setser, Charles Summers, Tim Heding, Ron Geisman, Les Asch and David Parkinson. The band found success after being discovered by James Brown the same year they were formed.

Snap Call – The Clients
Funk & Soul is like stew – long cooking makes it aromatic and sweaty! The Clients have had the ingredients for their sound for many years and can be listened to in the rehearsal room. One of Swiss Best Funk Bands, feat. Dave Feusi (Saxes), Marco Figini (Guitars), Peter Wagner (Keys), Patrick Sommer (Bass) and Christian Niederer (Drums).

Saturation 70 – Mother Earth
Mother Earth were an acid jazz outfit based in London. The band members were Matt Deighton on guitar and vocals, Bryn Barklam on Hammond organ, Chris White on drums and Neil Corcoran on bass. Prior to their debut live performance, where they played alongside another debutant band Jamiroquai, they started out as a studio project in 1991 with Paul Weller,Ω James Taylor of the James Taylor Quartet and Simon Bartholomew from the Brand New Heavies as contributors.

Mama’s in the Kitchen – The Phil Wilkinson Set
Phil Wilkinson is an internationally known artist and one of the most prominent new young organist to emerge from europe. Also bass player for soul Legend Brian Jackson and many other groups as a sideman.

Soul Suite – Dave Hamilton
American guitar and vibraphone player. Perhaps most famous for his work as a session musician at Motown during the 1960’s.

Down in the Grave – The Supertights
Two-headed Soul and Rhythm & Blues label based in Seine Saint-Denis, France. Musicians, DJs, Diggers and Soul music lovers, Ludovic Bors and Chris Thomas decide to run a label on a 60s US model: most of the records are composed, recorded, produced and played by the label crew. They’ve built their own live and rough sound with analog only live recordings.

Agua Con Sal – Bronx River Parkway
Bronx River Parkway is a band based out of NY that was initially formed during an impromptu jam session at the Soul Fire studios in early 2002. BRP continue to push the boundaries of what is considered modern latin music.

Algo – Ricardo Marrero
Percussionist, pianist, vibraphonist and two time Grammy Award winner, Ricardo Marrero, is a visionary artist who has for the past 40 years, cultivated a fertile foundation for the growth of solo acts and the catapulting of careers.

Soul Drums on 110th Street – The Bongolian
Harlem Hipshake” finds The Bongolian deeply immersed in his lifelong love for the music of the sixties New York’s Latin Soul scene, particularly the music of Ray Barretto, Mongo Santamaria and Joe Bataan. The Bongolian is the alter ego of Nasser Bouzida, front man of cult Hammond heroes Big Boss Man.

Black Water Gold – Blue Rhythm Combo
Their first album is mixture of Popcorn bassline , Zigaboo beat, Latin and calyp’soul. A perfect cocktail for 70’s holydays in Barbados. Recorded and produced in Barbados 1972.

Cold Sweat – Bernard Purdie
As a drummer, musician, producer, arranger and musical director, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie has a record discography. He has worked on over three thousand albums and recordings with over two thousand artists. In addition to his long-standing collaboration with Aretha Franklin, Purdie has played with countless other artists. Purdie is known as a groove drummer with immaculate timing and makes use of precision half note, backbeats and grooves.
