The Sugar Shack Sound System is a gathering of like minded individuals who enjoy the freak of the funk, the drop of the disco beat, the get down of the groove.

Music has to have feeling, whether that be happy, sad, good or bad. It’s all part of our emotional journey through life. Music can take us away, can transport us back in time or fill our spirits full of joy, pain, laughter or sadness.

Music with meaning, music with soul. Music for your mind and your body, music that makes your life worth living.

With Nike Sparks you got a dose of pure music of high quality.
The start is already a candy with Terrace Jamahl Martin from Los Angeles. He is perhaps best known for producing records for several prominent artists in the music industry, including Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Busta Rhymes, Stevie Wonder, Charlie Wilson, Raphael Saadiq and YG among others. Martin is a multi-instrumentalist, whose music production embodies everything from funk and jazz to classical and soul.

Another supercandy is the The Johnny Otis Show! To find also on The Watts Breakaway or the amazing Jon Bartel with “Naturally Good” from 1971. Raised in Pennsylvania, Bartel was bitten by the rock and roll bug while a kid. By the mid-1960s he was playing keyboards and fronting Johnny Bartel And The Soul Masters. 1968 found Bartel and company living in Southern California.

Thanks Nike Sparks for a dosis pure funky thing….
